| In my extensive search for an identity in the art world, I have come to the conclusion that to assign myself a role is to end creative exploration. I learned that there are things you can know about and things that you know from experience, and that experience got me where I am today. ART, a word that has become a label that lacks solid definition which needs not be there in the first place. To me art is a birth of an idea & evolution of creation through the senses, given the tools to interact with form is something I cannot take for granted. art Is a contemplating tool that leads to new discoveries which show new ways of viewing reality, its a key to self realization . Art is everyday life, art is how I awake in the morning, its how I get into my car and drive away, it is how you chew your gum, and its how I burst your bubble, its how you and me exchange words, its how the earth is formed, its how we form the earth. I tend to submerge myself in the subject and challenge my own views. It starts with a line that takes me on the ride of the moment, where Im suspended in the void with led on paper as my anchor.Its where focus drives the clarity of the initial idea that eventually takes on a life of its own. Its where intelligence meets soul, its where the senses merge,and life takes on a new meaning. I apply my spiritual philosophy as the basis for all I do, I learned that only you hold the answers to life's questions, I trust the rhythm within to set the pace. I strive to view the world with no preconceived labels, like a newborn child that knows not light from sound, I find a new beginning in every stroke. This is why I am an artist. Sergei Podosenov |
